On a beautiful fall day, I headed to Cedar Rapids for Dannielle and Michael's wedding day. Our day began at St. Joseph's Catholic church, where the final touches of getting ready took place. I love the lace details on Danielle's gown, so delicate and elegant.
Their first look took place in the entry of St. Joseph. Just look at the smiles on their faces. Perfection!
Michael and Dannielle first met several years ago while stationed in Seoul, Korea. They were friends and enjoyed hanging out together, but not too long after they met Michael was transferred to Germany. It was in Germany, after Danielle's transfer, that they reconnected and their relationship grew. They were legally married while living in Germany and welcomed two beautiful daughters into their family. In the past year, they were both transferred stateside and were excited to celebrate their marriage with a wedding in Dannielle's home town, here in Iowa.
Their daughters were their flower girls and they were adorable flower girls! Look at those sweet smiles!!
The ceremony was attended by close friends and family, a very intimate affair. I love the image of Michael carrying their youngest daughter down the aisle. So sweet! I love that moment. Years from now, that scene will happen again, only his daughter will be wearing a different white dress. Such a special moment.
