On a gray October afternoon, I headed to Hickory Hill Park in Iowa City for the Smothers family portrait session. My have their girls grown since I last saw them! One of my favorite parts of my job is getting to see how my client's children grow and change from session to session. Though, at times it reminds me I'm getting old. Ha!
How adorable are these two?! Seriously, those sweet smiles are too cute. It took a little work to get them to come out (I may or may not have worn my car keys as a hat for a while to get them to laugh...), but it was totally worth it!
Little sister is not a fan of big sister entering her space, being an independent spirit. Thankfully, she decided to hold big sister's hand for a while and even gave big sister a big hug! I had to be quick on the draw because, a heartbeat later, she was back on the move.
At the end of the session, Dad put the girls into one of the trees. Instant smiles! No car key hat required.
A big thank you to the Smothers family for meeting up with me for your session and being so much fun to work with!
