060516-017060516-017 At the beginning of June, I headed to Decorah for Elliott and Hope's engagement session.  The evening light was lovely and the weather was perfect for their session.  We began at Phelp's Park, which has a beautiful path along the bluff, overlooking the river.  The stonework and wooden pergola-style roof made for a beautiful setting for this gorgeous couple.

060516-043060516-043 It was fun getting to know Hope and Elliott better and hearing about how they met, several years before while Hope was working at a motorcycle shop.  They met in passing, not really talking or thinking much of it.  Later Elliott found her on Facebook, started a conversation, and their love story began to unfold.  Beautiful.

The golden evening light, softly illuminated the orchard giving gorgeous warm light.  Elliott and Hope simply glowed as they snuggled together in the orchard.  Seriously, it doesn't get any better than photographing a beautiful love story.

We ended the session with a few shots in the crosswalk, just for fun.  I think they turned out great!

It was such a pleasure working with Elliott and Hope.  I am so looking forward to their wedding this fall!
