Jill + Al {Wedding: Part 2}
Following Al and Jill's beautiful wedding ceremony, we began their formal portraits together, with their families, and bridal party. I love carousels. It was so fun to use the one at the zoo for a group bridal party portrait. Just across from it, is a nice backdrop of trees that made for a great location as well. It was hot and humid out. Thankfully the bridal party were great troopers and braved the heat with smiles!
After the carousel, we headed over to the giraffes. Giraffes are Jill's favorite animal. One friendly giraffe came over to join in on the portrait fun, though admittedly I think it was more interested in munching on the bridesmaids bouquets than the pictures.
Did I mention that Jill loves giraffes? I LOVE her choice of cake toppers!! So sweet to have the whole family included.
The reception kicked off with a lot of fun as the bridal party danced their way into the room. Jill's daughter enjoyed getting a big swing from her older cousins!
The toasts for the evening were filled with love and admiration for the couple, as well as some great humor. You could feel the love Jill and Al's family felt for them and how happy everyone was to celebrate this amazing occasion.
As the sun was setting, we stepped outside of the reception hall on the way over to the pavilion for dance. We stopped in front of some evergreen trees for a few portraits of Jill and Al. The carousel in the background created some beautiful illumination.
Once we finished with their portraits, it was off to their first dance in the pavilion where they had said their vows just a few short hours before. The up-lighting created a beautiful ambiance.
Once the dance floor opened, it was full. Guests were dancing, laughing, and having a grand time. So much fun to capture! Jill's little one was still going strong and dancing when we left for the night.
We ended our evening back at the carousel. I think these images are simply magical.
