The sun was shining and the weather was wonderful as we headed to the Cedar Rapids Marriott to begin capturing Brian and Chelsea's wedding day. The ladies were getting ready on the third floor in a suite. As the stylists were busy finishing hair and makeup, I took a few moments to capture detail images of the jewelry and dresses.
The natural light from the windows was gorgeous. The Murphey bed on the wall made a gorgeous backdrop for the dress. I love it!
Chelsea's two older sisters and mother attended her as she put on her dress, veil, and earrings.
A few floors above, the guys were busy putting on their finishing touches as well.
The Marriott is surrounded by parking lots and busy streets, not the most photogenic setting overall. However, to the side there is a small courtyard that was a perfect spot for the first look. Brian and Chelsea's first look was beautiful. You could see the joy on their faces as they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day. You could feel their excitement for the day.
The main formal portraits took place in the sanctuary of Noelridge Christian Church in Marion.
The emotions as Chelsea came down the aisle were beautiful. Brian's mother wiped away tears as she reached the front of the church and the smile on her father's face says it all. Brian and Chelsea were surrounded by so much love and support on their wedding day.
Be sure to check back later for the rest of Brian and Chelsea's wedding day!
