Greg + Lisa {Wedding: Part 1}
I was blessed with the opportunity to head out to California to capture Greg and Lisa's wedding. It was amazing! Having been friends with Greg for years, I have been fortunate to have been witness to Greg and Lisa's relationship. I still remember the excitement in his voice as he told me about this woman he met, Lisa. How they had hit it off from the start. It was amazing to watch as their love story unfolded. Simply beautiful! I couldn't be any happier for these two wonderful people as they begin their lives together.
I began the day in Aptos, at the house they had rented for the weekend, where they were getting ready. Lisa's close friend and her sister, did her hair and make up for the wedding while Greg and Lisa's three adorable dogs hung out and watched everything.
Greg's outfit was perfectly fitting for him, an all vegan ensemble in hues of green. Seriously, I cannot get over his shoes! Love them!!
The flowers for the wedding were beautiful, a gorgeous variety of textures and hues of green with a pop of bold calla lilies.
Lisa's dress was a stunning custom creation. I love the blush tones of the skirt and the elegantly jeweled belt!
As Lisa got dressed in her gown, Greg headed out to the side of the house to wait for the first look.
Have I ever mentioned how much I love first looks? Seriously, they are one of my absolute favorite parts of a wedding day. Greg and Lisa's first look was beautiful. The happiness and excitement was radiating from them.
Honestly, I think the sign above pretty much sums the day up to a T; the location was gorgeous, they were surrounded by close friends and family who adored them, and their love for each other radiated from them. Seriously, the best day ever!
In a small grove of redwood trees on the side of hill just outside of Aptos, the ceremony began as Lisa's father walked her down the aisle to Greg.
Their ceremony was officiated by their close friend (and wedding coordinator). It was beautifully personal and emotional. Greg and Lisa spoke from their hearts as they said their vows to each other. My favorite kind of vows are words spoken from the heart from one soul to another, personal and filled with love.
