On a warm Friday at the beginning of August, my assistant, Summer, and I headed to the ever-beautiful Celebration Farm in Iowa City to capture Phillip and Megan's gorgeous wedding day. We began our day with the finishing touches as the bridal party got ready for the wedding.  Then, it was off to the first first look.  Seriously, I love adore the series of first looks that took place at Phillip and Megan's wedding!  So emotional and beautiful!   080516-054 The first first look was between Phillip and his mother.  The joy on their faces when they saw each other was beautiful!

080516-071 The next first look was between Megan and her father.  Talk about feels!!  I might even have teared up at this one folks.  Her dad's eyes swam with tears the moment he saw his little girl as a bride.  Such a beautiful moment!  

080516-095 Finally, it was time for Megan and Phillip to see each other for the first time on their wedding day.  We positioned Phillip facing away from Megan.  Then I led her up the path with her eyes closed and had her stand with her back against his.  They each reached back to hold the other's hand with huge smiles on their faces.  For a moment they stood there, back to back, talking to each other.  Then they turned and their smiles beamed with joy as they saw each other for the first time.  You could see the absolute love and adoration on their faces.  Such a priceless, gorgeous moment!

080516-130 Megan and Phillip are surrounded by love.  Not just their love for each other, but also the love of their friends and family for them, as is illustrated by their amazing bridal party. 

080516-133 080516-151 After some bridal party portraits at the double round barn, we headed over to the timber frame barn for family portraits.  The limestone walls were a beautiful backdrop.

080516-255 080516-305 Just before the ceremony, we took a few minutes with the bridesmaids for some quick shots.  Megan made signs telling how she met each of the bridesmaids.  So fun!

080516-391 Their ceremony was beautiful under the limestone arches.  It was officiated by a good friend of the couple, who spoke about their journey and love story.  Phillip and Megan have known each other and been friends since elementary school.  Later in school, they came close to dating, but chose different paths.  Then in college, they reunited and fell in love.

080516-404 Their families are so supportive and loving of them both.  The hug Megan's dad gave Phillip once he walked Megan down the aisle was perfect.
