Ashton Hill Farm: Navy & Emerald Scottish Inspired Styled Shoot

A little rain didn't put a damper on this beautiful Scottish inspired styled shoot. I love the navy and emeralds, accented with the rich cranberry and gold tones.  Perfection!

101017-009101017-009 101017-011101017-011 101017-013101017-013 Herteen & Stockers Jewelers provided up with some stunning emerald toned tourmaline stone set in white gold jewelry for the shoot.  I cannot get over how fabulous the ring is!!

101017-017101017-017 101017-022101017-022 The stationery and sign, provided by the brilliant designers at Zephyr Weddings, were accented with plaid and I adore the monogram they created for the shoot!

101017-028101017-028 101017-031101017-031 101017-033101017-033 The groom's accessories were a fun combination.  The pocket watch nods to a Scottish tradition of the best man gifting the groom a watch on his wedding day.  This pocket watch is an antique from the late 1800s!  Definitely bringing a little "something old" to the event.  The boutonnière, by the fabulous Unique Events, features blue thistles; another nod to the Scots.

101017-040101017-040 I am absolutely in awe of the floral centerpiece Unique Events created for this shoot.  Words cannot express how blown away I am.  Beyond fantastic!!  The golden urn it filled added to the warmth and elegance of it.

101017-049101017-049 The tartan scarves were something I brought to the table, quite literally.  Everything else was provided by Unique Events.  The gold edged chargers were perfect!  The clear glass allowed the GORGEOUS barn wood table to be seen, as well as the tartan scarves.  The blue glass goblets were stunning and helped carry the navy tones throughout the table.

101017-051101017-051 Each place setting was tied with jute and adorned with greenery.  The head table included a blue thistle on the bride and groom's setting.  The menus were another fabulous creation by Zephyr weddings.

101017-055101017-055 101017-070101017-070 I love the windows at Ashton Hill Farm.  The light they allow into the space is wonderful.

101017-072101017-072 101017-077101017-077 101017-081101017-081 The head table design removed the tartans and featured a more simple runner of greenery.  Love this look!

101017-088101017-088 In keeping with our warm and simple yet elegant look, Take the Cake Desserts created this stunning naked cake decorated with fresh berries.  The berries brought in the rich blue and red tones.

101017-101101017-101 Our models were perfection!  Taylor Welsh modeled was our bride ad Jack Cogan was our groom.  They were such a pleasure to work with!

101017-106101017-106 The stunning lace wedding gown and veil were provided by Brides by Jessa.  I cannot get over how perfectly divine this dress is.  The lace details along top were elegant and the button up back was stunning to say the least.

Taylor's hair and makeup were brilliantly done by Eden Salon & Spa.  I love her soft curls!

101017-119101017-119 101017-120101017-120 I just want to take a minute to remark on how beautiful the bouquet is.  The blue thistles are set amongst stunning greenery and a variety of red florals.  It has an elegant, yet organic look.  Perfection!  Unique Events really outdid itself!

101017-121101017-121 Jack is wearing a fantastic navy suit from Prince Albert Tuxedos.  I love that the tie and the pocket square add the pop of cranberry while keeping the vest navy.  Such a classic, sophisticated look; especially with the brown shoes.  His cuff links, another "something old" added to the shoot, add the warmth of the gold tones and a tiny additional pop of red.  They are a golden Celtic knot set with a red stone in the center.  Another nod to the Scottish theme.

101017-132101017-132 101017-135101017-135 101017-139101017-139 101017-143101017-143 101017-145101017-145 101017-147101017-147 101017-148101017-148 I absolutely adore the amazing vintage furniture Borrow My Vintage brought to the shoot.  How fantastic are these couches!?!  The red (Charleston) and blue (William) couches were perfect colors for this and added to the warm, rich vibe we were creating.  Love, love, love!!!

101017-149101017-149 101017-154101017-154 Unfortunately, the weather didn't allow us to get outside to Ashton Hill Farm's beautiful ceremony space.  Though we did get a few "handfasting" images inside.  Handfasting is a tradition of binding together the couple's hands, symbolizing their commitment and union.

There are many amazing vendors mentioned throughout this blog post as their products are featured in the images, but there is one phenomenal vendor who was involved in all aspects of this inspiration shoot but cannot be seen in the images.  That is of course, Emily McMahon of Siorée Wedding & Event Planning.  Without her, none of this would have been possible.  I cannot sing her praises enough.  From the moment I came to her with my vision she has been beyond amazing.

A huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone involved in bringing this vision to life!!!
