Jon + Alyssa {Wedding: Part 1}
Jon and Alyssa's June wedding was absolutely stunning and a joy to photograph. The ladies began their day with hair and makeup at Kate & Co. salon in Cedar Falls before heading to the Courtyard by Marriott to finish getting ready. I love the beautiful blush tone of the bridesmaids' gowns. Alyssa had hangars custom made for herself and her bridesmaids, a beautiful personal touch.
Before they donned their beautiful gowns, the ladies got a few shots in their matching robes. How fun!
Alyssa did a reveal with her bridesmaids once she was in her dress and the smiles on their faces tell it all. This wedding was absolutely filled with joy. So much fun!
Before heading to her first look with Jon, Alyssa had a first look with her father. It was a beautiful moment! I love father-daughter first looks!
Jon and his groomsmen got ready at St. Edward's Catholic Church. I love his tux! Such a clean, classic look!
We had a bit of time before heading out to Sunnyside Country Club for their first look, so we took a few portraits in front of St. Edward's. I love the columns at the front of the church!
IIt was a hot, sunny June day, but we were fortunate enough to find a beautiful little shady spot for portraits, not far from the clubhouse so everyone could dash in and cool off if need be. The trees made for a lovely green backdrop.
Jon and Alyssa had their first look in front of the clubhouse. The pure joy on Alyssa's face is absolutely gorgeous! I think first looks are so beautiful. To have that moment, just the two of you (and photographers to capture the happiness) before the busy day really begins; a moment to hug each other, talk, laugh, and sometimes even cry. Beautiful!
