It was August and the weather was quite hot, so we headed to Black's Building where Jillian and Luis' ceremony and reception were to be held to photograph the full bridal party (which is filled with a whole bunch of adorable nieces and nephews!), as well as, the family portraits. The walls in the room across from the main hall had some fantastic gold and black trim, making some fun framing for the portraits.
How sweet are these ring bearers and flower girl?!
Their ceremony was a beautiful mix of love and humor, perfect for this couple.
When asked what they loved most about each other, they responded: "Jillian loves Luis' calming presence and stability combined with his spontaneity and goofiness. He's her perfect other half. It doesn't hurt that he's gorgeous, kind, and intelligent, too. Luis immediately loved Jillian's intelligence, sexiness, and attractiveness. Luis loved how she stimulated him mentally, and he knew he would be challenged by her. He truly appreciated that about her from day one. He also knew she would be the best mom, which was the deciding factor."
As a surprise to Jillian, Luis created a video of their family giving them advice on how to have a happy marriage and wishing them all the best in the world. It was beautiful! Such a sweet gift to his bride!
The toasts were filled with laughter and tears from family and friends who love Jillian and Luis so very much.
When asked what they are most excited about for their future together, they answered, "No matter what life throws at us, we know we have our best support system and cheerleader by our side, so there's no reason to fear the future. We're beyond excited to spend as much time together as possible and challenge each other to be better versions of ourselves every day."
As the sun was setting, we popped out of the reception for a few minutes. Just down the block from Black's Building was a fantastic bridge (that I'm sure has an official name, but I'm not sure what it is). To the side of this bridge is a little patch of lavender. LOVE IT SO MUCH! Unfortunately, from straight on it wasn't quite big enough to look like a field, but thankfully I'm crazy enough to climb a 3-4' high railing to get the shot. Also, super thankful for my assistant who spotted me so I didn't fall and break myself. It was SO worth looking like a crazy person for these shots. Gorgeous!
We ended the evening on the the pedestrian path on the bridge. Love the contrast and repeating shapes! Such a fun spot and the light was fantastic!
I loved capturing the joy and celebration at Jillian and Luis' wedding!! Congratulations to the happy couple! I know a lifetime of love lay ahead of you. Thank you so much for allow us to capture your stunning day!
