Mick + Shelby {Wedding: Part 1}
Recently, I had the pleasure of being able to step in and help out another photographer with capturing Mick and Shelby's gorgeous wedding day. Unfortunately, the other photographer had broken his tibia and couldn't get around without crutches, making photographing a wedding day difficult. I was happy to help out and capture this stunning wedding.
The wedding day began with the ladies getting ready at Two Rivers Methodist Church in Davenport. I'd not had the pleasure of photographing at this church before and loved it! The room where the ladies were getting ready was the perfect setting for this gold and cream toned wedding. The natural light from the windows made it a dream to photograph.
How sweet is their flower girl?! Oh my word! So adorable!!
I love the photos we captured as Shelby got into her bridal gown. Having everyone join is was a beautiful way to have them all be part of this important moment. Love it!
Did I mention how much I loved the colors and light in this room?? So perfect for bridal portraits. These are some of my favorites, like ever! Also, can we take a moment to appreciate the gorgeous wedding gown Shelby is wearing? It is so simple and gorgeous, while still having lovely lace details in the back. I love that it leaves all the attention on her beautiful face. Perfect!
The church had so many stunning locations. I had so much fun with portraits here!
Shelby and Mick chose not to share a first look before their ceremony, so the first time they saw each other was as Shelby was escorted down the aisle by her father.
Their ceremony was simple and sweet, with a beautiful homily about their love story. So lovely.
