On a beautiful December day, we headed to New Hampton to capture the wedding of Bryce and Jill. The day could not have been more perfect! The weather was sunny and stayed around the mid-40s, which may not sound super warm, but with a jacket and boots it was wonderful. Sure beats the bitter cold!
Bryce and Jill chose not to share a first look, so we started portraits outside at Jill's family farm, where the ceremony was held, with Bryce and his crew. I love the tails on their tuxes!!! I think it was the perfect look for this beautiful winter wedding!
Notice how everyone looks pretty comfortable without heavy coats on? Yeah, we lucked out with BEAUTIFUL weather!!!
Bryce and Jill first met because Bryce is friends with Jill's two older brothers. He came over to their house a lot in high school, but they never really talked until Jill's oldest brother's wedding. They were paired up together in the wedding party. After the wedding, they began to talk more and eventually Bryce asked her on a date. How sweet is that?!
Jill was thinking when she picked out her wedding shoes. These white winter boots are amazing!
Bryce's mother hand made Jill and the bridesmaids' cloaks. What a brilliant, special touch! And warm too!
To welcome guests and keep them warm, Bryce and Jill had blankets ready and waiting for them. What a wonderful thing to offer guests at an outdoor winter wedding!
There were a few tears, as Jill walked down the aisle to Bryce. So much joy!
Jill knew Bryce was the one for her when, "I knew as soon as I took him to meet my grandma. My grandma loved him! I was more afraid of my grandma not liking him then anyone else in my family, she is the most influential person in my life. The next time I went to visit her she told me that she thought he was the one for me."
Their favorite memory together sounds like a perfect day. "We just took off driving on a Fall Sunday afternoon. We ended up going to eat at a small town pub, we found a corn maze, walked the trails at a park, and then got ice cream on the way home. We didn't have a plan when we left and never looked at a map, we just went whichever way felt right," Jill shared
After the ceremony, it was time for portraits with the happy newlyweds, their bridal party, and family.
