I recently had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Chris and Sarah's engagement session. The weather was ominous, but we decided to take a chance and the rain held off. It was meant to be, just like this beautiful couple. We started our session at the Coralville Marriott, so that we were able to take advantage of some beautiful wooded areas, while still having the option to pop inside if it started raining.
Sarah and Chris both studied at the University of Iowa. Chris is in his final year of residency, while Sarah is currently back in her home of Ann Arbor, MI working as a physical therapist. They first met when mutual friends suggested she should stay with Chris while she was there because he needed roommate. That suggestion began their journey together.
While neither are Iowa City natives, they wanted to come back to Iowa City for their engagement session to commemorate where their love story began. After the Marriott, we headed over to the Old Capitol and Pentacrest area to capture the iconic side of Iowa City. It was so easy and fun to capture these two love birds! I asked for a twirl and Chris was happy to oblige! Congratulations to Chris and Sarah! Thank you so much for allowing me to capture your engagement portraits. It was a joy working with you both!!
