082419-406 I have to say, I do love when people write their own vows.  It allows everyone to get to know them better, both as individuals and as a couple.  It is a great way to put into your own words your promise to your soulmate and what you love most about them.  I have been privileged enough to witness some beautiful and some hilarious vows.

That being said, there is a lot of pressure in writing your own vows.  Don’t feel like you have to!  Every couple I have ever seen write their own vows, it was 100% fitting with their personality to do so.  If you are shy and reserved or perhaps if tradition is an important part of your heart, do not feel pressured to write vows for one another.  

The main thing is: it’s your day, do whatever makes you happiest!!
