Everything to the smallest detail should be documented on your wedding day. In order to capture all those amazing details, remember to allow your photographer time to do so.
Bridal/Groom’s details take typically place first thing at the beginning of your wedding photography coverage. These are the details of your wedding day fashion and invitation suite. In order to allow your photographer time to capture beautifully styled images, schedule 30-60 minutes into the timeline before you want your photographer in capturing your getting ready images.

Ceremony details occur before the ceremony begins, including photos of the church/venue, flowers, unity candle/sand ceremony vases/etc, the program, flowers, and more. These are best captured before the guests arrive. For my couples, we schedule formal portraits to end 45 minutes before the ceremony begins, which allows us some time to capture these details before guests are seated.

Before the reception begins, allow your photographer to go into the reception hall before guests are allowed in to their seats. This allows them to get some room shots and details with everything looking perfect. During this time, your photographer will capture place settings, centerpieces, escort cards/place cards, the cake, and any other personal touches.

I hope this has given you some food for thought when considering detail photos and planning your wedding day timeline!
