The day could not have been more beautiful for Elijah and Rachael's wedding day at First United Methodist in Iowa City.
With the restrictions Covid has brought to the world, Elijah and Rachael's wedding was my first in 2020. I was so excited to be back to doing what I love and capture their big day; masks, social distancing, and all.
The Covid restrictions definitely changed Elijah and Rachael's wedding plans. Their guest list was pared down to bridal party and family. They decided to postpone their reception until they are able to celebrate with everyone they love, as originally planned. But they chose to move forward with their original wedding date and celebrate with an intimate ceremony.
Elijah and Rachael chose not to share a first look, doing all of their pre-ceremony portraits separately. Saving the moment they see each other until Rachael walked down the aisle on her father's arm.
Their ceremony was live streamed to friends and family who were unable to attend.
When we were finished at the church, we headed to the pentacrest for more portraits ultimately ending up a the steps of Shaeffer Hall.
After portraits, Elijah and Rachael headed off with their guests for an intimate dinner to celebrate their marriage.
It was such a joy capturing Elijah and Rachael's beautiful wedding day! Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs!! Best wishes to you both and I look forward to seeing you again at your reception!! Thank you so much for allowing me to capture your gorgeous day! It was an honor!
