Happy Wednesday, Everyone!! I hope you are all having a beautiful day!
I'm here today to share with you about the groom's detail portraits. A lot of emphasis is put on the bride's details, and rightly so! However, often the groom's details can get overlooked. So I'm excited to share with you a little list and planning tips to make sure his details are captured just as beautifully on the wedding day!
First, let's start with the list. Here are things to gather for the groom's detail photos:
Suit Jacket
Shoes
Tie/Bow Tie/Pocket Square
Boutonniere
Cuff Links/Tie Clip
Watch
Socks - if they are something personalized
Hangar - if personalized
Cologne
Any special alcohol - if any
Any Heirloom Items
Just like with bridal details, I highly recommend having a small box with all of the little items gathered in it so everything is in one place for your photographer. You can do this before the wedding day so it's ready to go. It will take so stress away on the wedding day being able to simply hand over the box of details and the suit jacket. Easy-peasy!
Remind your groom not to get fully dressed before the photographer arrives. Pants and dress shirt are ideal, not only so the details can be captured but also so the photographer can capture his getting ready images.
