The skies were gray, but no rain fell for Blaine and Paige's intimate backyard wedding. Their ceremony and reception were held at Paige's family home near Washington. It was a stunning location!
What a beautiful view to serve as backdrop to the ceremony. Their custom built arch was draped with chiffon in pinks and white. Each chair was tied with burlap and adorned with peonies.
The tent for their reception was beautifully decorated with fresh florals, most of which were grown by Paige's mother. I absolutely love the peonies!!
How stunning is' Paige's dress? It's clean, classic is timeless. So elegant! I love the sleeves with their button details!!
Paige's mother helped her get dressed for her big day.
I love the soft pinks in the roses in her bouquet. The cascade of greenery and baby's breath adds movement and elegance to the design. Stunning!
If you've followed me for any length of time, you know how much I love a first look. This is the moment you see each other for the first time on your wedding day; a moment you can embrace, talk, laugh, cry, and fully live in. The best part? It really doesn't take away from the impact of the moment you walk down the aisle to say "I do." That moment holds a weight and importance all it's own.
The benefits of a first look are many. You can interact and have a breath together before the day unfolds. Much of your wedding day is going to include being surrounded by other people. During a first look, it's just the two of you (and your photographers, but we capture the moment then wander off until you're ready to continue because we understand how great it is to have some time together before the big day begins). After the first look, you can start in on portraits. Not only will you have that happy glow, you will be looking fresh from getting ready and be able to get the majority of your portraits finished before the ceremony begins. Why is that a great thing? Because, to be completely honest, once the ceremony is done, you've been announced as husband and wife and are ready to celebrate. Standing and posing for photos will be the last thing on you mind. Getting the portraits done ahead of time allows you to get to the party faster!
Seriously, how gorgeous are these two?!
Before the ceremony began, we were able to complete their family and bridal party portraits. Their arch served as the perfect setting for the formal photos.
How sweet are their little flower girls?! Their nieces were perfect for the role of flower girls and Paige's adorable little nephew was the cutest little ringbearer.
I hope you've enjoyed seeing this first part of Blaine and Paige's stunning June wedding! Be sure to stop back by for more from their big day!!
