It was a simply perfect June day, when we arrive at Celebration Farm in Iowa City for Fletcher and Allison's wedding day. It is rare I have the opportunity to capture the reception details before anyone arrives and I loved having time to photograph all of their beautiful decor. The vintage chairs for the bride and groom were lovely, draped with ivy. Their wedding colors of blue, yellow, and green were carried throughout the room, not only in the floral design, but also with the napkins at each table. Lovely! I absolutely adore their cake. The rainbow watercolor design added a bright splash of color and the gold leaf elevated the look. The petit fours had rainbow drizzles on top and looked absolutely delicious! In lieu of traditional flowers, Fletcher and Allison's florals were wooden. It still blows my mind that they are so soft and flexible. I think they made for a lovely design. Plus, no wilting or getting crushed while greeting guests. Allison's ring showcased a gorgeous peacock sapphire. It's blue-green-yellow hues were the inspiration for their wedding colors. I love it!! Fletcher's ring is set with two family diamonds, creating a new heirloom. I love when there is so much sentiment and history at a wedding. I'm absolutely obsessed with the heart the light created in her ring!
I love Allison's tea-length dress and sparkly shoes. What a perfect gown for a summer afternoon wedding and the perfect pop of color and sparkle!! Their ceremony was a beautiful celebration of their love story. They each wrote their vows. I love when couples do this! Not only does it take their ceremony to the next level, it is so fun to get to know them even better as a witness. I hope you've enjoyed this glimpse into Fletcher and Allison's beautiful wedding day! There's more to come! Check back soon for the rest of their big day!!
