It's hard to believe the past year has flown by. It was a whirlwind of the best kind, but a whirlwind nonetheless. If you've been following my blog for a while, you know that there's been some down time since my last post. Last fall, I made the choice to prioritize time with my family and enjoying my daughter, Laurelin's senior year. I still photographed just as many weddings and portraits, but I took a step away from social media and blogging.
This decision was a good thing for me. I was able to be more present in the time our family spent together over the past year, as well as helping her through the many tasks that come with senior year, including applying to colleges, deciding on where she wanted to go, graduation, and everything else.
This past summer, between portraits and weddings, we were able to carve out two weeks to spend as a family in Italy. It was an amazing experience and I am so thankful to have been able to enjoy those moments together.
Now, she's moved into college and settled, my youngest is busy with school and activities and life is returning to a more normal routine. So I'm here to play a little (well, a lot) of catch up on sharing my amazing clients. I know I've said it before, but it is still as true as it ever has been, I have the best clients ever. It is such an honor to be asked to document their lives and capture their special memories. I am blessed.
For now, I will leave you with where I left off last year and the beautiful, intelligent, wonderful reason I stepped back from blogging last year. Laurelin's senior portraits were so much fun! We traveled to Decorah, a place dear to our family, for some. We also traveled to Washington, stopping in Seattle and out new Mt. Rainier. Wonderful family memories were made in the process! I hope you enjoy Laurelin's senior portraits!!
