On a beautiful Saturday at the beginning of September, my assistant and I headed up to Northeast Iowa to the town of Waukon for Elliott and Hope's wedding day. There was excitement in the air as the first look began. The smiles on their faces tell it all.
I love their church! The stone side aisle and stained glass were a stunning setting for the first look and portraits.
The doors to the church were equally beautiful architectural elements. The gray tone of the door fit perfectly with their neutral color pallet as well. Stunning!
After a some time with Hope and Elliott around the church, we headed back into the sanctuary to begin formal portraits with the bridal party and families.
The ceremony began as Elliott escorted family in. I loved the flower girl and ring bearer's walk down the aisle. The flower girl did an amazing and enthusiastic job scattering the flowers, even managing to scatter a few on herself. Too adorable!!
The smile on Hope's face as she walked down the aisle to Elliott, gorgeous! There is nothing more beautiful than love, and love radiated from both Elliott and Hope.
The ceremony was beautiful. Not only was the service heartfelt and lovely, the church was illuminated by the stained glass and candlelit lanterns, creating a quiet, serene mood.
