Memorial Day weekend, I headed to Dubuque to capture Zack and Leah's engagement session. The evening was gorgeous and the weather was wonderful. It was a perfect evening. I had such a great time working with Zack and Leah.
We began the session along the River Walk. It is a beautiful area. Zack and Leah's wedding will be held in the Grand River Center, so it was a perfect spot for their session. We even stopped for a few shots with the center in the background. I love the giant windows and stone pillars on the river side of the center. Beautiful!
Zack and Leah were so relaxed and fun to work with. I love how natural they are together.
Before we left the River Walk, we headed over to the area where Zack proposed. I love when couples have locations that are special to them. It speaks beautifully to their love story. It was in the parking lot below, that Zack asked Leah to marry him while they were at a concert. This is where she said "yes" and the next chapter of their love story began. Beautiful!
We headed across the river, to a park near where they live. They brought along their cute little corgi to join them for some portraits. He wasn't all that interested in having his picture taken, but we managed to get a few portraits of them all together.
Zack also brought along the car he's been restoring. It was another beautifully personal touch for their session.
It was a beautiful evening and I am so looking forward to heading back to Dubuque for their upcoming wedding!
