Grant + Carrie {Wedding: Part 2}
Before the ceremony began, the bridal party and families hung out in the bar area, relaxing and enjoying their time together.
Their ceremony was picturesque, with a beautiful backdrop of trees and in the far distance the 808 among the Des Moines skyline. The officiant was Grant's uncle who offered a wonderful personal touch to the ceremony, having been witness to their relationship from the beginning.
The flower girl had a fun time dancing during the soloist's performance. Too sweet!!
For a short while after the ceremony, we headed around the Wakonda Club for additional portraits with Carrie and Grant.
During cocktail hour, Grant's father's band played. The live music was wonderful and added to the party atmosphere.
At sunset, we again headed out to the course for a few final portraits of the beautiful couple. The warm, golden light streaming through the oak trees was a perfect finish to the portraits for the day. Lovely!
I have to say, I think Carrie's dance with her father is my favorite father-daughter dance ever. They had so much fun dancing and laughing. It was fantastic!!
