The timing of the rain's end couldn't have been better. It quit just in time for the ceremony! It was meant to be.
A sting quartet, composed of some of Jessica's former students, played as the ceremony began and it was beautiful!
Their ceremony took place beneath the trees and was attended by friends and family. Jessica's sister officiated.
They chose to write their own vows and it was beautiful to watch their faces as they read them to one another.
Jessica's maid of honor (and sister) and Josh's best man (and brother) helped with the hand fasting ceremony, showing how this marriage was bringing the families together as one.
Did I mention they literally tied the knot!? What a fun way to bring in an old tradition!
Following the ceremony, the guests entered the reception hall for cocktail hour while we took full advantage of the rain being gone.
How gorgeous are these newly weds in front of the beautiful fall backdrop at Rapid Creek Cidery?!
Thankfully, things weren't too muddy and we were able to pop over to the orchard for a few portraits.
As we were getting ready to head back over to the reception, the sun peeked out from behind the clouds and gave us some gorgeous, glowy light!!
Their reception was kicked off with a beautiful toast from Jessica's dad that was full of humor and memories.
Josh's siblings offered a heartfelt toast to the happy couple, as did Jessica's maid of honor.
They toasted the happy couple with some Sunny D.
Jessica and her father had the best choreographed father-daughter to a song I had never heard before, "Muskrat Love." It was amazing!! Full of fun and silliness!
It was such a wonderful day capturing Josh and Jessica's beautiful wedding! A huge congratulations to them on their marriage!! I wish them all the best! Thank you to Josh and Jessica for allowing us to capture your big day!
