Happy Wednesday! For all the brides and grooms out there still considering who to hire to capture your wedding day, this week's Wedding Wednesday is for you.
First of all, congratulations on your engagement! What an exciting time in your lives!! Planning your wedding can be so much fun, but it can also be a bit overwhelming at times. I'm here today to to offer a few tips to make finding your photographer a little easier.
To start with, look around online, check with friends, do some research and find a photographer who's work speaks to you. Look at the style, look at the emotion, find someone who captures images in a way you would love to have images from your own wedding. Then, meet them! It is so important that you are a good fit with your photographer. This is someone who will be spending a LOT of time with on your wedding day and during the engagement session. You want someone you feel comfortable with and can build a friendship with. So important!
Not sure if you're quite the right fit, but you love their work. Do an engagement session with them. This will be a perfect trial run for your wedding day. You will have the opportunity to get to know them better, how they work, and most importantly how you feel when you're in front of their camera.
Ok, so you've found a photographer; you love their style and your personalities mesh, but they haven't shot at your venue before. What do you do? You hire them! Often couples are so worried about making sure their photographer has been to their venue before they miss out on an amazing photographer and settle for someone who may not be the best fit for them. A great photographer can walk into any venue and know how to capture it beautifully. Additionally, a great photographer will scope things out beforehand and have a plan for photos.
I hope these tips will help you find the photographer who is a perfect fit for your wedding day!
