120419-04 On my birthday, I met up with one of my dearest friends who I've know since freshman year of high school, when I moved to Iowa, and her beautiful family at City Park in Iowa City for their family portraits.   120419-07 We were so fortunate with the weather!  It was a little chilly, but not too bad.  Their little guy, Ayden, was an absolute trooper and had some great smiles.  How sweet is he?! 120419-08 120419-13 We started out by the Shakespeare Theater which is surrounded by some lovely evergreens and the building itself has a beautiful neutral color pallet. 120419-18 Ok, can we just take a moment to appreciate this little guy's bright red shoes.  Oh my gosh!!  I love them so much!! 120419-24 I'm not sure what he was trying to tell me.  Toddler is a tricky language and it's been a few years since I've been fully immersed in it, but I just think this little face is one of the cutest things ever!  He will probably not be real thrilled with this image once he's older, but his parents and I just love it! 120419-27 120419-29 Just beyond the theater, near the pond, were some beautiful trees still in fall colors.  Ayden had so much fun playing with Mom and Dad for portraits there. 120419-34 120419-35 120419-39 120419-43 A big thank you the the Bachman family for braving the chilly weather!  I always love capturing your family and getting the chance to catch up!
