After what felt like storm after storm, the skies cleared and the sun came out in time for Kyle and Haley's gorgeous wedding day. We could not have asked for more perfect weather!
Their day began at Celebration Farms in Iowa City as they prepared for their wedding ceremony. The guys got ready in the Timber Frame and the ladies in the Double Round.
I love Haley's custom shoes!! Not only do they have "Mrs. Lockhart" embroidered on the side, but they are customized in their wedding colors with a navy blue tongue, blush trim, and gray for the sides. How perfect are they?!?
Before her first look with Kyle, Haley shared a couple of special first looks with important people in her life, starting with her father. I love father-daughter first looks so much!!
Then, Haley shared a first look with her mother, sister, and brothers. Such a beautiful and emotional moment. The joy on their faces tells it all!
Finally, it was time for Kyle and Haley to share their first look. Such a gorgeous moment, filled with smiles, laughter, and love!
Kyle and Haley first met at Nick's Bar and Grill. Haley hit it off with Kyle's friend, Emily. Emily asked Haley to add her on Facebook and Kyle interjected, "while you're at it, you should add me too."
About their first date, Haley shared, "Kyle unintentionally stood me up. He was working long hours and meant to take a short nap but ended up sleeping until early the next morning. He completely missed it. He came to my apartment and asked for a second chance. He persuaded me to allow a second chance by dancing with me in my living room and singing Frank Sinatra's "Fly Me to the Moon."
We enjoyed the shade of the Double Round Barn for portraits. Such beautiful light and I just love the reflection of the trees in the doors. A simply beautiful for these gorgeous lovebirds.
They knew they were the ones for each other when, "We were driving to Texas to visit my family and spent a lot of time talking during our commute. When we ran out of things to talk about we played a Disney Music playlist and sang to each other at the top of our lungs. It was the perfect trip!" How sweet is that?!
Haley's hair was stunning, so soft and romantic with gentle curls and babies breath. It looked gorgeous with her lace detailed, flowing dress. She was a vision!
After portraits with Haley and Kyle, we began family and bridal party portraits. The arches were very sunny at this time of day, but thankfully we had gorgeous setting by the Double Round. A perfect location for their portraits.
