Happy Wednesday! Today's Wedding Wednesday is focused tips to make sure your bridal party photos run smoothly.
I love bridal party photos! It is so fun to meet and work with the bride and groom's closest friends and family. They usually involve a lot of fun and laughter!
There are a few details that often hold up bridal party photos, so to best prepare your bridal party here are a few tips to have them all set and ready to go:
- Communicate! I know, it sounds obvious, but be sure to clearly communicate exactly where they need to be and when.
- Let them know what they need to have done in order to be ready: fully dressed (I have seen many weddings where groomsmen show up without ties on), boutonnieres pinned, bouquets in hand, pocket squares folded properly, etc.
- Have someone on hand to pin boutonnieres. Most guys are clueless about pinning on their flowers, so be sure to have a personal attendant or someone who will be in charge of getting the boutonnieres on before the photos begin.
- Have paper towels on hand to blot the bottoms of the bouquets. Flowers are kept in water to keep them fresh, but that means the stems are wet when you remove them. Drops of water on the bridesmaids dresses or bridal gown are not the look you're going for.
Hopefully these tips help your bridal party pictures run quickly and efficiently, leaving you more time for fun and laughter on your wedding day!
