Greg + Meredith {Wedding: Part 2}
Their was held at her home church, Zion Lutheran in Iowa City. While Meredith and Greg live in Texas, her family is still active in Zion Lutheran, where her mother is one of the church wedding coordinators. How fun is that?!
I love that Greg got a little emotional as Meredith walked in. These two are the sweetest!
Their officiant, Rev. Carson, came all the way from their church in Texas to officiate their ceremony. What a beautiful, person touch! It was while attending church in Texas that they met. On her first day at the church, Meredith was encouraged by Rev. Carson to meet Greg and so their story began. Love that they person who helped bring them together to begin their love story was the person who helped them begin their next chapter!!
Their reception was held at Cedar Ridge Winery & Distillery in Cedar Rapids. So beautiful!! The blush and pale blue tones in their flowers and decor was stunning there.
Before heading into the reception, we had some time to photograph a few more portraits of the bridal party and of Meredith and Greg alone. From the road on the way into the winery, we noticed a small patch of wildflowers just down the hill. Thankfully we were able to find a little path to reach them. Such a beautiful location!
Can we just take a moment to appreciate Meredith's bouquet? So pretty!!
The speeches given by Meredith's father, her sister (the maid of honor), and Greg's brother (the best man) were heartfelt and humorous. I think the smiles on Greg and Meredith's faces really say it all. They are so loved by their friends and family.
After the special dances, we popped outside for an additional family portrait, but just as we got out there the sun was at the perfect spot on the tree line. So I asked the family to wait a minute and used the few minutes of gorgeous light for portraits of Meredith and Greg. LOVE!! I'm so glad the timing for that was just perfect!
In the warm evening glow, we took a few minutes for some additional portraits of the happy couple. Cedar Ridge is such a gorgeous setting, beautifully romantic and perfect for Meredith and Greg!
In lieu of cake, Greg and Meredith served root beer floats in custom cups, not just custom cups though...color changing custom cups! How fun is that?!
