Guest Count – Depending on the size of your wedding, your guest count could limit the number of venues that can accommodate your event. Some venues even offer a discount for small, intimate weddings.
Budget - Determining a budget before visiting venues allows the Venue Coordinator the ability to better assist you and customize each tour. The coordinator can recommend additional services or features or can suggest different areas to save money.
Wedding Date – Venues often have higher prices during their peak season or on Saturday nights. If you can be flexible with your date you have a better chance of getting a lower or discounted rate. For destination or out of town weddings, it is best to talk with the venue coordinators to see what the venue looks and feels like during that time of year. This is especially important for weddings with an outdoor element.
Tour Multiple Places – Unless you have your heart completely set on one place, it is best to tour at least three different places. Every venue has different amenities to offer so it is good to consider the pros and cons of each venue. This will help to ensure you are getting the best deal.
Visit With an Open Mind – Not every venue will jump off the page and entice you right away. Some venues will need a little more imagination. Do not let that scare you, your wedding is more likely to stand out in everyone’s mind if it is at a unique and different location. Venue Coordinators are great at helping you envision your dream wedding with their ideas and photographs of past events.
